Candle Care & Safety

#1 Keep the wooden wick short: Trim to ⅛" again before re-lighting the wooden wick. If the wick is too long, it cannot absorb the wax & burn properly.

#2 Burn in 2-4 hour increments: Your first burn should last 60+ minutes so the wax melts evenly. An uneven wax pool can drown the wick.

#3 Do not burn longer than 4 hours at a time: To preserve the longevity of the scent in the candle.

#4 Prevent tunneling or burrowing: That is the area around the wick is recessing quicker than the outer edges of the candle creating a situation where there is a large hole- then this is caused by burning the candle for too short time. It's really difficult to fix and therefore won't get the same burn time from the candle.

#5 Wick care & Troubleshooting treatment: Wood wicks are sometimes tricky to light. Make sure to light the entire edge of the wick. It can take a try or two. Don't worry about that- good things come to those who work for it after all. If your candle flame grows to over 1" high or the candle begins to smoke, carefully extinguish the candle, allow the wick & wax to cool, then trim the wick by gently breaking off the burned edges with your finger tips.

#6 Safe burning tips: Keep in sight & away from pets, children and other heating sources. Place it on a flat, heat resistant surface when lit. Never move your candle when it's burning or still hot. Only move once the flame is extinguished & the wax has cooled.

#7 Scent throw: We recommend that for best results, you light your candle an hour prior to your intended use of the room, to ensure circulation of the fragrance. Don't position your candle near a draft, open window, air conditioner, etc.

#8 When to stop burning the candle: When there is approximately ¼" of wax remaining at the bottom of the vessel, extinguish the wick.

#9 Candle performance: Our candles are thoroughly externally tested for every aspect of their performance. If there's any issue with the performance of the candle, then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

#10 Reusing the vessel: Once the candle is used up. Use a double boiler method to heat the vessel and cautiously clean the melted wax and wick bottom with a paper napkin. Reuse the ornate vessel to sow seeds or to hold items or as a dècor product- anyway, just as you wish!
